"Set in two opposing prison-like bases, Rock plays similar to a Capture The Flag map, but with slightly altered rules. Teams break into the enemy Warden's office, steal the keycard within, and carry it across to the enemy Gas Chamber, where they use the keycard to release the Gas and kill the entire enemy team."
This map requires a lot of team effort if you want to cap. There are many places for sentry guns which makes this map very hard to attack.

Instead of hiding in the enemy wardens office where the defence will suspect you to go if gas is released, run and stay in this corner. You will be invulnerable from any gas and ready to take the next key, taking defence by surprise. |
Grab the key, take it to the gas chamber and crawl under the switch preventing the handle going down. Stay under there while someone else goes back to the Wardens Office to get the next key, when they get back to the GC, get out from under the handle, this will cause a cap, then when the GC door reopens the person with the key can cap again. Its also a good idea to have someone stand underneath the doorway to the Gas Chamber for a quicker escape. |
Jump up on to the rocks as a sniper and you will have the perfect position to take out any demoman who's trying to blow your yard. |
As the enemy jump into the water to go to your base you can build a nasty
SG just under the water, anyone in range will be killed without even seeing
the SG. But next time they know where you are! |
The trickiest part to this secret is managing to find the
correct place in the rocks. Once you have found the correct place upgrade
your sentry gun to level 3 quickly and get a demo to seal the rocks again.
The SG will only be harmed by EMP's and will not be able to put anymore
ammo into it, but it will fire normally! |
